Released in 1995 on RCA (catalog number 74321 30115 1), Camouflage's Bad News (The Mixes - Special Vinyl Edition) is a substantial multi-format package presenting eleven versions of a single track across six sides of vinyl. The release sits at an intersection of genres that were each finding their footing in the mid-nineties, with the record catalogued under ambient, electronic, progressive house, progressive trance, tech house, techno, and trip hop — a breadth that reflects both the period's genre fluidity and the ambition behind commissioning such a varied slate of remixes.
