Clan Of Xymox
Vinyl Box

Listening notes

Clan of Xymox's Vinyl Box, released in 2011 on Dark Side Records (catalog number DSR 024), is a four-LP box set spanning the electronic and goth rock outfit's catalog across six sides of vinyl plus a bonus seventh-inch or additional record designated as a bonus EP. The set carries the catalog number DSR 024 and is classified under the genres of Electronic, Goth Rock, and Rock.

The package is organized around three titled LPs — Hidden Faces, Creatures, and Notes From The Underground — each presented as a distinct program, followed by the bonus EP material on sides G and H. The sequencing moves from the Hidden Faces content on sides A and B, which includes tracks such as "Out Of The Rain," "This World," "Going Around '97," and "The Story Ends," through the Creatures program on sides C and D, which opens with "Jasmine And Rose" and closes with "Doubts." The Notes From The Underground material occupies sides E and F, running from "Innocent" through "The Same Dream."

In terms of runtime, several individual tracks extend beyond six minutes. "Anguish," listed at position E5, runs 8:51, making it the longest timed entry on the set. "Taste Of Medicine" on side C follows at 7:48, and "Something Wrong" on side F is listed at 7:18. At the opposite end, "Piano Piece" clocks in at 1:24 and "Wailing Wall" at 2:11.

The bonus EP on sides G and H contains four tracks — "A New Dimension," "Consolation (Radio)," "Liberty (Greggrulermx)," and "The Second Time" — for which no durations are listed in the available documentation.

This is an unreviewed draft. Personnel, pressing details, and source albums for individual tracks have not been verified and are not included here.
