Daft Punk
TRON: Legacy (Vinyl Edition Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Listening notes

Mondo's 2020 vinyl edition of Daft Punk's TRON: Legacy motion picture soundtrack, catalogued as MOND-194, presents the score across a double-LP format with additional content extending to a fourth side. The release is categorized under a notably broad range of genres — Classical, Contemporary, Electronic, House, Neo-Romantic, Soundtrack, and Stage & Screen — a grouping that at minimum reflects the varied compositional territory the tracklist covers on paper.

The main program runs across three sides, opening with "Overture" and moving through twenty-two titled cues including "Adagio For TRON," "Nocturne," and "Disc Wars" before closing the primary sequence with "Finale." The fourth side is designated as bonus content, comprising seven additional tracks: "Sea Of Simulation," "Encom Part 2," "Encom Part 1," "Round One," "Castor," "Reflections," and "Sunrise Prelude." The reversed sequencing of the two Encom pieces — Part 2 preceding Part 1 — is worth noting for those consulting this edition against other releases of the same material.

Track durations are not listed for any selection in this pressing's documentation, which limits direct comparison with other editions at the track level.

The release was issued by Mondo, operating under the label designation Mondo (3). Mondo has an established presence in the collector market for soundtrack and genre-related releases, though no specific claims about this edition's production details, pressing specifications, or availability are made here.
