Dance United
Help! Asia (Vinyl 1 of 2)

Listening notes

Dance United's "Help! Asia (Vinyl 1 of 2)" was released on Kontor Records in 2005 under the catalog number K432. The release is the first of a two-part vinyl set, presenting four mixes of the track "Help! Asia" across two sides.

Side A opens with the ATB Mix, running at 3:58, making it the shortest of the four versions presented on this record. It is followed by the Nord Mix, which extends the track to 6:24. Side B carries the Scooter Remix at 6:40, the longest version on this pressing, and closes with the Ziggy X Mix at 6:21. The presence of multiple extended mixes reflects a format well suited to club-oriented playback, and the inclusion of remixes from named acts points to the collaborative nature of the release.

Kontor Records, the Hamburg-based label behind the release, cataloged this as K432. The genres associated with the release span a broad range of electronic music styles, including Electronic, Hands Up, Hard Trance, House, Progressive Trance, and Trance. This range of genre tags suggests the release was positioned to reach across several overlapping dance music audiences of the period.

As the first of two vinyl volumes, this pressing represents only part of the complete release, and collectors or researchers seeking the full picture of the "Help! Asia" project would need to account for the accompanying second record as well.
