Dead Man's Chest (2) X Thugwidow
Forgotten Paradise 2

Listening notes

Dead Man's Chest (2) and Thugwidow joined forces for Forgotten Paradise 2, released on Western Lore in 2024. The record carries catalog number FP2, situating it as a sequel release within the label's catalog, and arrives on vinyl in a genre space that draws from breakbeat, electronic, hardcore, and jungle traditions.

The release is a three-tracker spread across two sides. The A-side carries a single cut, "How U Wanna Do This Baby?", while the B-side holds two: "U Don't Know Me" and "How U Wanna (Jungle Edit)," the latter representing a reworked version of the A-side track within the genre territory the title signals directly. The decision to present a jungle edit as a distinct pressing cut, rather than relegating it to a digital-only format, reflects a structural choice worth noting for collectors keeping track of version-specific content across formats.

Western Lore serves as the releasing body, and the collaboration between the two acts is the defining context for the project. Beyond what the label and catalog number confirm, the record stands as a 2024 vinyl document of a crossover between artists working in overlapping but distinct corners of the breakbeat and jungle spectrum.

Durations for all three tracks are not listed in the available data, which may be relevant for buyers assessing side lengths or for discographers working toward complete documentation of the release. The catalog number FP2 suggests a continuing series under the Forgotten Paradise name, though details of any prior entry or planned future releases are outside the scope of what can be confirmed here.
