Delta 9 & Forsaken Is Dead
Industrial Devilution

Listening notes

Released in 2009 on Hard Kryptic Records, Industrial Devilution is a four-track vinyl release from Delta 9 and Forsaken Is Dead, catalogued as HKR005. The record sits within the electronic, gabber, and hardcore genres, reflecting the harder end of the electronic music spectrum that defined a particular corner of the underground scene during that period.

The release is structured across two sides, each pairing an alternate version of a track with its original mix. The A-side opens with "Time To Die (Original Mix)" at 5:33, followed by a remix credited to Fiend, which runs slightly shorter at 4:53. The B-side presents "The Unconquerable Man (The Outside Agency Remix)" at 6:18, the longest track on the record, before closing with the original mix of the same track at 4:38. The decision to sequence the remixes before the originals on each side is a structural choice worth noting, inverting the more conventional approach of leading with the source material.

The Outside Agency, credited on the B-side remix, is a name associated with the industrial hardcore and crossbreed scenes, though no further contextual information about the production background of this release is available to confirm here.

Hard Kryptic Records, identified by the HKR prefix in the catalog numbering, had issued at least four prior releases before this one, placing Industrial Devilution fifth in the label's documented catalog sequence. Beyond that, the label's history and output are not detailed in the available information.
