Digital Scream (2)
Digital Scream - The MiXX Vinyl LP

Listening notes

Digital Scream (2) returns to physical media in 2025 with Digital Scream - The MiXX Vinyl LP, released on YDM Records under catalog number YDMV-122. Spanning eight tracks across two sides, the record draws from the genres of dance-pop, electro, electronic, and pop.

The tracklist presents a selection of material in extended and remixed configurations, a characteristic worth noting for collectors and fans approaching the release. Side A opens with "Calypso (Odusseus Hard Mix)" at five minutes and forty-three seconds, followed by "A Kör" and "Menekülj," before closing with "Nagy Szerelem (Original Long Play Version)," which runs six minutes and twenty-four seconds. Side B leads with "Ha akarod (Extented)" at six minutes and thirty seconds, the longest track on the record, continuing through "Induljon a banzáj (Der Kraft Mix)," "He várj (Original Video Mix)," and closing with "Vadászat A Vörös Októberre."

Several of the track titles are in Hungarian, suggesting an artist or release with connections to Hungarian-language pop and electronic music, though no further biographical or contextual detail is confirmed here. The presence of mix designations throughout the tracklist — including hard mixes, extended versions, original long play versions, and video mixes — indicates that the release is curated around alternate takes rather than standard album edits.

The total runtime across both sides is substantial, with multiple tracks exceeding four minutes and two exceeding six, giving the record a format that suits the floor-oriented traditions associated with dance-pop and electro. At eight tracks, the LP offers a focused but varied program within its genre framework.
