DJ Dero
World Tour 1999 - Vinyl #1

Listening notes

Released in 1997 on Oid Mortales Records, DJ Dero's "World Tour 1999 - Vinyl #1" carries catalog number 74321515961 and sits within the electronic and hard house genres. The release presents five tracks across two sides, organized around two core compositions offered in multiple versions.

Side A opens with "In My House (Plastic Daft Remix)" at 5:58, followed by "In My House (Original Mix)" running considerably longer at 8:17. The sequencing places a remix before the original mix, an arrangement that gives the original version a closing position on the side rather than the introductory one.

Side B is devoted entirely to "El Tren," presented across three distinct mixes. The "Batucada 'N Bass Mix" opens at 7:23, followed by the "Killer Horn Mix" at 7:38, and the side closes with the "Mortal Whistle Mix" at 7:07. The three versions together account for just over twenty-two minutes of material on Side B alone. The mix titles — referencing batucada, a horn, and a whistle — suggest varied sonic approaches to the source material, though the precise nature of those differences is a matter for the listener to assess rather than this entry to characterize.

The release title designates this record as "Vinyl #1," indicating it was conceived as part of a multi-volume series rather than a standalone release. The "World Tour 1999" designation in the title appears against the 1997 release year, a detail worth noting for cataloging purposes.
