DJ Sprinkles
Queerifications & Ruins Vinyl Sampler 1

Listening notes

Released in 2013 on Mule Musiq, the Queerifications & Ruins Vinyl Sampler 1 is a two-track twelve-inch from DJ Sprinkles, catalogued as mule musiq 161. The release sits across the genres of deep house, electronic, and experimental music, a combination that has come to be associated with DJ Sprinkles as a recording artist.

The record carries one track per side. The A-side presents "Seashore (Sprinkles' Ambient Ballroom)," while the B-side holds "Exhalation (DJ Sprinkles' Deep Breath Mix)." Both titles are listed without durations in the available documentation. The parenthetical subtitles on each track suggest these are specific mixes or versions, though no additional context about alternate versions or source material is confirmed in the verified information at hand.

The release functions as a sampler, as its title indicates, implying a relationship to a broader body of work under the Queerifications & Ruins name. What that broader work consists of, and how this vinyl sampler relates to it in scope or sequence, falls outside what the confirmed facts can address.

Mule Musiq is the releasing label, a Japanese imprint with a documented history of releasing deep house and electronic music, though claims about the label's specific role in shaping this release would go beyond what is verified here.

DJ Sprinkles is the recording name of Terre Thaemlitz, though no additional biographical or contextual detail about Thaemlitz appears in the source data for this release and has therefore been withheld from this draft.

This draft is unreviewed and should be verified against primary sources before publication.
