Emmanuel Top
The Legacy Of Attack Records (30 Years Anniversary 5 x 12" Vinyl Boxset)

Listening notes

Emmanuel Top's The Legacy Of Attack Records (30 Years Anniversary 5 x 12" Vinyl Boxset) arrives in 2024 under the Attack Records imprint, catalogued as ATRBOX-24. As the title makes explicit, the release marks thirty years of the label, and the boxset format — five twelve-inch records — is the vehicle chosen to observe that milestone.

The ten tracks spread across sides A through J span the acid, electronic, and techno genres with which Emmanuel Top has been associated through the label. Running times vary considerably across the set. "Radio," on side H, is the longest selection at eleven minutes and twenty-eight seconds, followed closely by "Stress" on side J at eleven minutes and forty seconds. At the other end of the spectrum, "Acid Phase" on side D runs five minutes and twenty seconds, and "Play It Loud" on side F comes in at five minutes and twenty-five seconds. The remaining tracks occupy the middle ground: "Ecsta - Deal" opens the set at eight minutes and ten seconds, "Cosmic Event" runs five minutes and forty seconds, "Turkish Bazar" reaches six minutes and thirty-three seconds, "So Cold" extends to seven minutes and twenty seconds, "Climax V 1.1" clocks in at seven minutes and fifty-one seconds, and "Tone" fills eight minutes and twenty-four seconds.

The boxset's framing as a legacy collection is stated directly in its title, positioning the ten tracks as representative of Attack Records' three-decade span rather than as newly produced material, though the release year of 2024 is the only date verifiable from the available information. No additional personnel, pressing details, or edition information can be confirmed from the facts provided.
