Friday Night Posse
Volume 6

Listening notes

Friday Night Posse Volume 6 is a vinyl release issued in 2001 on the Friday Night Posse Shield label, carrying the catalog number VINYL 6. The record sits within the electronic genres of Hard House and Trance, placing it among the club-oriented output that characterized that corner of the UK dance music landscape at the turn of the millennium.

The release is a single-sided affair in terms of its A-side, with one track occupying that face. "Right & Exact Nation" holds the A1 position, while the B-side carries two tracks: "Komodo Rising" at B1 and "Heather Donahue's Curse" at B2. Duration information is not available for any of the three tracks. The B2 title, "Heather Donahue's Curse," is a notable point of curiosity for anyone cataloguing this release, referencing as it does the actress known for her role in The Blair Witch Project, a film that had generated significant cultural attention in the years immediately preceding this record's appearance. Whether that reference carries any deeper significance within the context of the track itself is beyond what the available documentation can confirm.

The Friday Night Posse Shield label name suggests an imprint operating with some degree of dedicated identity, though the specifics of its catalogue history and relationship to broader Friday Night Posse activity are not addressed by the information at hand. The catalog numbering, VINYL 6, implies this release is part of a sequential series, with Volume 6 in the title reinforcing that this record represents at least the sixth instalment in an ongoing output.

Collectors and researchers encountering this release should treat the above as a basic orienting reference. Personnel, pressing details, and any further contextual history have not been verified and are not represented here.
