Gang Du Lyonnais Présente Abdel De Lyon
Rare Vinyl Volume 1

Listening notes

Gang Du Lyonnais Présente Abdel De Lyon released "Rare Vinyl Volume 1" in 2001 as a self-released CD on the Not On Label (Gang Du Lyonnais) imprint, carrying no catalog number. The release is catalogued under the genres of Disco, Funk, and Funk / Soul.

The compilation spans 21 tracks, suggesting an intent to gather a substantial body of material under a single presentation. Titles across the sequence include "Be Thankful For What You've Got," "Wrap Myself Up In Your Love," "I Can't Get Along With You," "Night After Night," "Get Funky Boogie," "Sunlight," "I Forgot How To Love You," "Winning Hand," "Ain't Nothing Like The Love," "You Say Up," "Sexy Stuff," "Party Person," "Unity Sing It Shout It," "Do You Feel The Same," "Calling Mr. T," "Got This Feeling," "It's Only You," "You're The Girl," "If You Want My Loving," "Candy," and "Goin' Thru The Motions." No track durations are documented in available records.

The self-released nature of the disc and the absence of a catalog number are consistent with an independent or small-circulation project operating outside conventional distribution infrastructure. The word "Rare" in the title, alongside the "Volume 1" designation, implies that at least the concept of additional volumes was entertained at the time of release, though no further information on subsequent volumes is available from the verified data.

No personnel credits, pressing details, or distribution information are confirmed in the available documentation. Fact-checker should verify whether additional volumes were released and whether any personnel or licensing information exists.
