Ghostland Featuring Sinéad O'Connor & Natacha Atlas
Guide Me God - Vinyl 1

Listening notes

Released in 2002 on Tommy Boy Silver Label, "Guide Me God" by Ghostland featuring Sinéad O'Connor and Natacha Atlas arrived as a vinyl single catalogued TB 2395-0. The release brings together two vocalists with distinctly international profiles — O'Connor, the Irish singer, and Atlas, who has worked across Egyptian and Western musical traditions — under the Ghostland project in a collaboration that sits across electronic, house, trance, and tribal genres.

This first vinyl volume presents three mixes across its two sides. The A-side carries the SDM Soundclash Holy Vocal Mix at eight minutes and twenty-three seconds, giving it the longest runtime on the record. The B-side is divided between the Junior Vasquez Main Mix, running eight minutes and two seconds, and the Afterlife Chillout Mix, the shortest of the three at five minutes and forty seconds. The presence of a Junior Vasquez mix is a notable credit, as Vasquez is a recognized figure in New York club culture and dance music production. The "Chillout Mix" designation on the final track suggests a departure in tempo or texture from the other two versions, though the facts on hand do not allow for further characterization.

The Tommy Boy Silver Label imprint, a subsidiary operating under the broader Tommy Boy umbrella, served as the release vehicle, with the single appearing during a period when remix-driven twelve-inch releases remained a standard format for dance-oriented material.

This draft has not been fact-checked. Personnel beyond the credited artists and mixer names have not been verified here. Recording details, chart performance, and any reception this release may have received are not addressed, as no verified information on those points was available.
