Gouryella
Ligaya (Part 1 Of A 2 Vinyl Set)

Listening notes

Gouryella's "Ligaya (Part 1 Of A 2 Vinyl Set)" was released in 2002 on Kontor Records under catalog number K 285. The release is classified within the electronic and trance genres and represents the first of a two-part vinyl set, indicating that collectors seeking the complete release would need to source both parts.

This first vinyl contains three tracks spread across its two sides. The A side carries a single entry, the Extended Vocal Version, running seven minutes and twenty-eight seconds. The B side presents two tracks: a remix by Hiver & Hammer at eight minutes and forty-one seconds, and the Original Instrumental Mix, which matches the A side's runtime of seven minutes and twenty-eight seconds. The inclusion of a dedicated Hiver & Hammer Remix alongside the original instrumental points to a release structured to offer distinct listening experiences within the format's physical constraints, a common approach for trance releases of this period that were aimed at DJs and collectors alike.

Kontor Records, a German label with a focus on electronic dance music, served as the releasing imprint. The catalog number K 285 places this release within the label's catalogued output for that year.

As only the first installment of a two-part set, this record's standalone completeness is limited by design. Buyers and collectors should be aware that the full release as originally issued spans two separate vinyl records, and this listing covers only Part 1. Those building a reference collection of early 2000s trance on vinyl would want to confirm availability of the companion release to hold the complete work as Kontor Records issued it.
