Listening notes

Released in 2019 by Spacelab9 (catalog number SL9-2059-1-7), the Fallout 3 10th Anniversary Ultimate Edition Vinyl Soundtrack is a box set presenting composer Inon Zur's score for the game alongside a separate collection of licensed period recordings. The release is catalogued under genres spanning Easy Listening, Jazz, Score, Smooth Jazz, Soundtrack, Stage & Screen, Swing, and Video Game Music.

The score portion spans sides A through F across what the format listing describes as multiple vinyl discs. The 29 Zur compositions range in duration from under two minutes to just over four, with shorter cues such as "Main Title" (2:04), "Lockstep" (1:37), and "New World, New Order" (1:34) concentrated on side A, while later sides carry longer pieces including "Pieces Of The Past" (4:04) and several tracks at or near the 3:30 mark.

A seventh and eighth side, designated G and H, collect the Galaxy News Radio tracks — ten pre-existing recordings in the swing, jazz, and easy listening styles that appeared in the game's fictional in-world radio station. These include "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire," "Anything Goes," "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall," "Crazy He Calls Me," "Butcher Pete (Part 1)," and "Easy Living," among others, with individual track durations ranging from 1:55 to 3:13.

Taken together, the set comprises 39 individual tracks across eight sides. The division between original score and licensed vintage material is clearly delineated by the side labeling, with sides A through F devoted to Zur's compositions and sides G and H reserved for the Galaxy News Radio programming.
