Piccadilly Records Vinyl Compilation 2025

Listening notes

Released in 2025 under the Piccadilly Records (2) label with catalog number PICC2025V, this vinyl compilation brings together twelve tracks spanning a notably broad range of genres, including electronic, folk, world and country, IDM, jazz, and rock. The release is structured across two sides of six tracks each.

Side A opens with "Death Hex" and moves through "Taxes," "I Want You (Fever)," "Los Angeles," "Staring At The Wall," and "Staring At The Wall" before closing on "Spike Island." Side B runs from "Wild Waters" through "Ascension," "I'm In Love," "I Don't Wanna," and "Never Lost," concluding with "The Great Pyramid Of Stockport."

Piccadilly Records is an independent record shop based in Manchester, and compilations carrying a shop's name have historically served as snapshots of what a particular retailer considers worth recommending at a given moment. Whether that is the purpose of this release is not confirmed by the available data, and readers should treat that context as background rather than verified intent.

No track durations, contributing artist credits, or personnel information are listed in the available documentation, which limits what can be said with certainty about the individual selections. The genre spread — running from IDM to jazz to folk — does suggest a deliberately eclectic programme, though the reasoning behind the sequencing and curation is not documented here.

This draft has been prepared from catalog data only. Track attributions, pressing details, and any supplementary liner information should be verified against the physical release or a confirmed primary source before publication.
