Inon Zur
Fallout 4 (Deluxe Vinyl Soundtrack)

Listening notes

Released in 2016 on Spacelab9 (catalog number SL9-2034-1-8), the Fallout 4 Deluxe Vinyl Soundtrack collects composer Inon Zur's score for Bethesda's open-world role-playing game across a twelve-disc box set spanning sides A through L. The release is catalogued under genres including ambient, electronic, modern classical, score, soundtrack, stage and screen, and video game music.

The set's tracklist runs to 65 titles, a scope that reflects the volume of music Zur composed for the game. The programming is organized around two broadly distinguishable categories of cue: action-oriented pieces with titles such as "Combat Ready," "War In The Wastes," "Time To Die," and "V.A.T.S. Or Die," and more sustained, atmospheric material grouped under a recurring "Wandering" series. Those wandering cues are divided by location — the Blasted Forest, the City, the Foothills, the Glowing Sea, and the Coast — each appearing across multiple parts across separate sides. The longest individual track on the set is "Endless Ocean, Endless Dreams" at 5:33 (J5), while several cues fall under two minutes.

The final track, "Fallout 4 Main Theme ('Spinner' Mix)" at 2:49, is listed separately from the "Main Theme" that opens side A at 3:02, suggesting at least two distinct versions of the central theme are included within the set.

A vinyl box set of this side count is an inherently substantial physical object, and the format choice places this release within a broader trend of game soundtrack reissues on vinyl that gained momentum through the 2010s.
