Jackson 5, The
Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl 3)

Listening notes

Released in 2003 on Soul Source (2), Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl 3) carries the catalog number SO SO 3 and represents one installment in what the release title indicates is a broader remix series. The record is a standard vinyl format pressing presenting four tracks across two sides.

Side A opens with "We're Almost There (DJ Spinna Mix)," a reworked version of the Jackson 5 original credited to DJ Spinna. It is followed by "Good Thing Goin'," which appears here without a remix credit in the available documentation. Side B leads with "ABC (Justa Roots Rock Mix)," a treatment of one of the group's most recognized recordings, attributed in the title to Justa Roots. Closing the record is "Ain't No Sunshine (SSY Mix)," remixed under the SSY designation.

The release is catalogued across several genres: Breaks, Disco, Electronic, Funk / Soul, and Future Jazz. This range of genre tags reflects the various stylistic approaches that remix practitioners brought to the source material, though the specifics of each track's approach are not documented here and would require independent verification.

The Soul Source (2) label, distinguished by the parenthetical to differentiate it from other entities sharing that name, serves as the releasing party. No additional label or distributor information is available from the verified facts on hand.

Duration information for each track is absent from the available data. Personnel beyond the remix credits embedded in the track titles — DJ Spinna, Justa Roots, and SSY — are not confirmed by the source material and should not be assumed.
