Jackson 5, The
Soul Source Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl Two)

Listening notes

Released in 2001 on Motown under catalog number UPJH-1021, Soul Source Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl Two) is a 12-inch vinyl release presenting four remixed tracks drawn from the Jackson 5 catalog. The release is categorized under the genres of downtempo, electronic, and future jazz, situating it within the remix culture that found many classic soul and R&B recordings reinterpreted through late-1990s and early-2000s electronic production frameworks.

The A-side opens with a 4 Hero Mix of "Get It Together," running at 3:06, followed by an Electric Sheep Remix of "Can I See You In The Morning" at 6:13. The B-side carries a Topless In Action Remixxx of "Dancing Machine" at 4:24, closing with a Jungle Brothers Mix of "It's Great To Be Here" at 3:45. The contributor names attached to these tracks — 4 Hero, Electric Sheep, and Jungle Brothers among them — reflect a range of acts associated with electronic and hip-hop adjacent scenes of that era, though the specifics of their involvement are noted here only as credited on the release itself.

This record is identified as Vinyl Two, indicating it is one component of a larger multi-part release rather than a standalone album. The Soul Source series as a whole appears to have packaged Jackson 5 material through a remix format, though details about the broader series are outside the scope of what can be confirmed from the available information on this specific pressing.

For collectors and researchers, the catalog number UPJH-1021 and the 2001 Motown imprint are the primary identifiers for this particular vinyl configuration. No additional pressing, personnel, or production details have been verified for this entry.
