James Bernard / Influx
Reminiscence

Listening notes

Released in 2021 on Hybride Sentimento, *Reminiscence* is a collaborative vinyl release credited to James Bernard and Influx, carrying the catalog number HYB.004. The record represents the fourth entry in the Hybride Sentimento catalog, placing it at a relatively early point in the label's documented output.

The release spans five tracks spread across two sides. The A-side opens with "2001" and continues with "Lost In It," while the B-side carries three tracks: "Love Song," "The Future," and "VS128 (Unique Mix)." The presence of a uniquely designated mix in "VS128 (Unique Mix)" suggests at least one alternate version of that material exists or has existed in some form, though no further details about that version are available from the current documentation.

Cataloged across the genres of acid, ambient, electro, electronic, and techno, the release draws from a range of electronic music traditions that have historically intersected in various ways since the 1980s and 1990s. Whether those genre tags reflect distinct tracks, blended elements within individual pieces, or simply a broad classification applied to the project as a whole is not specified in the available information.

Track durations are not documented here, so the overall running time of the record cannot be confirmed. Similarly, details regarding personnel beyond the credited artists, mastering, pressing plant, or any edition information fall outside what can be stated with confidence at this time.

*Reminiscence* sits within a broader wave of electronic music releases that continued to find a home on vinyl through the early 2020s, a period that saw sustained interest in physical formats across many corners of the electronic music world. Beyond that general context, the record's place in any wider conversation remains a matter for further research and verification.
