June Lopez
Dream On

Listening notes

June Lopez's "Dream On" arrived in 2005 as the second release on Rhythmic Deep, carrying the catalog number RD-002. The record is a two-sided vinyl release operating within the deep house, electronic, and house genres.

The A-side presents "Dream On (Original Conga Mix)," a title that signals a percussive approach embedded directly in its name. The B-side offers "Adventures In A Land Of Dub (North Philly Blunt Dub Mix)," a track whose subtitle places it geographically and stylistically within a dub-influenced framework. Together, the two sides cover recognizable territory within the house music spectrum while the subtitles of both tracks suggest distinct textural directions — one leaning on conga-driven rhythm, the other toward dub construction.

Rhythmic Deep, as the issuing label, appears to have been operating in the deep house space at the time of this release, with RD-002 indicating "Dream On" was among the label's earliest catalog entries. The significance of being a second release on any imprint is straightforward: the label was still in its formative stage when this record was pressed.

Duration information for neither track is available in the verified record for this release, which is worth noting for anyone attempting a complete documentation entry. Collectors and cataloguers working with this title should treat any circulating duration figures as unconfirmed until cross-referenced against a physical copy.

Beyond what the label, catalog number, year, genre classifications, and tracklist can confirm, this draft does not speculate on personnel, pressing details, or the record's standing within the broader house music landscape. Those elements would require additional verified sourcing before appearing in a published entry. A human fact checker should review this draft accordingly before any publication.
