Kate Bush
Remastered In Vinyl I

Listening notes

Released in 2019 on Kate Bush's own Fish People label, Remastered In Vinyl I carries catalog number 0190295593964 and presents the first four albums of her catalog in a single box set. The format comprises four records across eight sides, collecting The Kick Inside, Lionheart, Never For Ever, and The Dreaming in their entirety.

The Kick Inside occupies sides A and B, running through all fourteen of its tracks, from "Moving" at A1 through to the title track closing out side B. Lionheart follows on sides C and D, with "Symphony In Blue" opening side C and "Hammer Horror" bringing side D to a close. Never For Ever spans sides E and F, beginning with "Babooshka" and concluding with "Breathing." The fourth record is dedicated to The Dreaming, with side G opening on "Sat In Your Lap" and side H closing the set on "Get Out Of My House."

The box set is categorized across a broad range of genres in reference databases, including Art Rock, Electronic, Pop, Pop Rock, Prog Rock, and Rock, which reflects the range of material being collected here — four albums recorded across a period that took Bush's work in markedly different directions, from the more song-oriented approach of The Kick Inside and Lionheart through to the more experimental character of The Dreaming.

As the title indicates, this is the first volume of a remastered vinyl series issued under the Fish People imprint. Collectors and researchers should note that this draft has not been reviewed for accuracy and should be verified against additional primary sources before publication.
