Kendrick Lamar
Vinyl Love (Kero Uno Remix)

Listening notes

Play It By Ear Records released this two-sided vinyl single in 2023 under catalog number pibe004. The release pairs two Kero Uno remixes of Kendrick Lamar material, with "Vinyl Love (Kero Uno Remix)" occupying the A-side and "Don't Kill My Vibes (Kero Uno Remix)" filling the B-side.

The genres listed for this release span a notably broad range, including Contemporary R&B, Electronic, Funk / Soul, Hip Hop, House, and Pop Rap. That breadth of classification reflects the remix context, where source material and reworked arrangement can pull a release in several directions simultaneously, though the specifics of how those influences manifest here are a matter for the listener to assess.

Play It By Ear Records, operating under the abbreviated identifier pibe, places this release fourth in its catalog sequence as indicated by the pibe004 designation. The label framing and catalog numbering suggest a boutique operation with a deliberate, curated approach to its releases, though no further label documentation is available here to elaborate on that characterization.

No durations are cataloged for either track, which leaves the physical shape of the listening experience — how each side is weighted, how much time each remix occupies — unaccounted for in the available data. Collectors and listeners interested in those specifics would need to consult the physical release directly.

What the record does present clearly is a structured pairing: a remix single built around two distinct Lamar titles, both reworked by the same hand, pressed to vinyl, and issued through a label whose catalog number places it early in that imprint's documented output. The 2023 release date situates it within a period of continued engagement with Kendrick Lamar's catalog across various formats and contexts.
