Laj & Quakerman
The Vinyl Frontiers

Listening notes

Laj & Quakerman's "The Vinyl Frontiers" is a four-track vinyl release on Kami Khazz, catalogued as BANZAI 007. The record sits within the deep house and electronic genres, and its two-sided layout divides the material evenly between a pair of distinct titles, each presented in more than one version.

The A-side is given over entirely to "Lust In Space," which appears here in two forms: a Main Mix and a Bonus Beat. The decision to carry both versions on a single side is a straightforward structural choice that collectors and DJs will recognize as common to the format, allowing a single release to serve both the dancefloor and the booth in different ways without requiring a separate purchase.

The B-side follows the same pattern with the title track, "The Vinyl Frontiers," offered as Mix One and Mix Two. The symmetry between the two sides — two takes on one idea, then two takes on another — gives the record a coherent internal logic, even if the precise nature of the differences between the mixes is not documented in the available catalog information.

The release carries the catalog number BANZAI 007, which places it within a numbered sequence on the Kami Khazz imprint, though what surrounds it in that sequence is not accounted for here. No release year has been confirmed for this pressing, which is worth noting for anyone attempting to date or contextualize the record through other means.

What can be said with certainty is that "The Vinyl Frontiers" represents a compact, purposefully arranged release — two artists, one label, four tracks across two sides — and that its existence is documented under the above catalog details. Any further claims about the record should be verified independently before publication.
