New York (Vinyl 1)

Listening notes

Lambda's "New York (Vinyl 1)" is a 1999 twelve-inch release on the French label Le Petit Prince, catalogued as PRIN 9974-6. The release falls within the electronic and tech house genres and presents three remixes of the track "New York" across its two sides.

The A-side, designated the Prince-Side, carries a single remix by Timo Maas. The B-side, designated the Picture-Side, contains two versions: a Jark Prongo Remix at the B1 position and a Da Goose vs. Lambda Remix at B2. The labeling of the sides as Prince-Side and Picture-Side reflects a formatting choice consistent with Le Petit Prince's identity, the label name translating from French as "The Little Prince."

The release is identified as "Vinyl 1," a designation that suggests it was issued as part of a multi-volume series, though no further volumes are documented in the available information provided here.

Timo Maas, Jark Prongo, and Da Goose are names associated with the electronic music production and DJ community active during the late 1990s, a period that saw considerable activity in tech house and related genres. Their presence on a release of this kind is consistent with the remix culture that characterized twelve-inch vinyl output from that era, in which labels routinely commissioned multiple producers to reinterpret a single track for dancefloor contexts.

Le Petit Prince operated as a record label releasing electronic music, and the catalog number PRIN 9974-6 places this release within its documented output for 1999.

No durations are listed for any of the three remixes in the available data.
