Special Remix Collection - Vinyl Edition 1

Listening notes

Linda Jo Rizzo's *Special Remix Collection - Vinyl Edition 1*, released in 2021 on New Generation Disco Records (catalog number NGDR009), brings together eight tracks across two sides under the genre designations of Disco, Electronic, Euro-Disco, Italo-Disco, and Pop.

The A-side opens with "Passion - Electro Potato Disco Radio Remix Edit" at 3:38, followed by "I've Got The Night - Remix Version" at 4:52 and the lengthier "Fly Me High - Remix Version" at 6:08. The side closes with "Out Of The Shadows" running 4:46. The B-side begins with "Day Of The Light - Electro Potato Disco Remix Edit" at 4:42, then moves into the collection's longest track, "You're My First, You're My Last - 'O'-style Extended Mix," which runs 6:54. The side concludes with "Fingertips" at 4:32 and "Life is a Story" at 4:04.

The release is identified as "Vinyl Edition 1," a designation that may suggest the label has considered or planned additional vinyl volumes in the series, though no further editions are confirmed in the available information. Two of the remixes carry the "Electro Potato Disco" credit in their titles, appearing on both the A- and B-sides, while other tracks are identified simply as remix versions or extended mixes. The total program across both sides runs to just over 39 minutes.
