Louie Vega
Mix The Vibe (Vinyl Collection)

Listening notes

Released in 2007 on BPM King Street Sounds, Mix The Vibe (Vinyl Collection) by Louie Vega carries catalog number KSS 1241 and spans three tracks across two sides of a vinyl record. The release sits within the electronic, garage house, and house genres.

Side A is given over entirely to "Stretch My Arm (Mr. V's Unreleased Dub Mix)," running eight minutes and seven seconds. The parenthetical in that title is worth noting: the designation "unreleased dub mix" suggests this version had not previously appeared on a commercially available record prior to this collection, though the precise history behind that claim falls outside what the available documentation confirms.

Side B opens with "Here With My Best Friend (Dance Ritual Mix)" at seven minutes and forty-seven seconds, followed by "It's The Music (King Street Club Mix)" at six minutes and twenty-four seconds. The latter's subtitle directly references King Street, the parent label identity behind BPM King Street Sounds, tying the track's branding to the imprint releasing it.

The release is attributed to Louie Vega, a figure associated with house music whose name appears on the cover as the primary artist. Beyond the genre classifications of electronic, garage house, and house listed for the release, no additional personnel or production credits are available in the documentation on hand.

As a vinyl-format release from 2007, Mix The Vibe (Vinyl Collection) presents itself as a curated selection rather than a conventional album, with the word "Collection" in the title indicating an intentional gathering of material. Whether that material was drawn from previous releases, recorded specifically for this project, or some combination, is not confirmed by the available facts and should be verified before publication.
