L.S.G.
Volume Two (The Vinyl Mixes)

Listening notes

L.S.G.'s *Volume Two (The Vinyl Mixes)* was released in 2004 on the Superstition label under catalog number 0827170021860. Issued in file format, the release draws on genres spanning breaks, electronic, and trance, situating it within the broader landscape of early 2000s electronic music.

The release collects eight tracks with a total running time that extends well past the hour mark, each piece given room to develop at length. The shortest track, "Get Out (Vinyl Cut)," runs 6:28, while the longest, "Netherworld (Jule Vernes Remix)," reaches 8:31. That emphasis on extended duration is consistent across the tracklist and reflects conventions common to DJ-oriented and club-focused electronic releases of the period.

The title's reference to vinyl mixes is reflected in the track naming throughout. Four of the eight tracks carry a "Vinyl Cut" designation — "Get Out," "Freak Me," "Netherworld," and "Lectrolyte" — suggesting versions prepared or edited with vinyl playback in mind. Alongside these sit three distinct treatments of "Netherworld": the Ivan Remix, the Vinyl Cut, and the Jule Vernes Remix, making that track the most revisited on the collection. "Get Out" also appears in two versions, the Vinyl Cut and a remix credited to Banco De Gaia. The eighth track, "Terry's Patchwork Of Vol. 2," stands apart by name, its title implying a compiled or assembled construction rather than a straightforward remix.

The release presents itself primarily as a document organized around remix and reediting work rather than original studio material presented for the first time, a format that was well established in electronic music by 2004. Whether it was accompanied by a physical vinyl release is not confirmed by the available data.
