Mad Tribe
Vinyl Fetish

Listening notes

Mad Tribe's 2019 single "Vinyl Fetish," released on United Beats Records under catalog number MTPD05, arrives as a two-sided vinyl entry in the electronic and psy-trance genres. The release pairs a title track on the A-side with "Living Stereo" on the B-side, presenting listeners with two distinct pieces within a format that has long held particular significance for dance music communities.

The choice to issue this material on vinyl is notable given the genres involved. Psy-trance and its adjacent electronic subcultures have maintained a complicated relationship with physical formats, with much of the music's distribution historically weighted toward digital channels. A dedicated vinyl pressing represents a deliberate curatorial decision by both the artist and United Beats Records, whatever the motivations behind it may have been.

The tracklist itself invites some reflection. Titling the A-side "Vinyl Fetish" and its flip "Living Stereo" suggests a self-aware engagement with the physical format and its associations, though the precise intent behind these choices belongs to the artists and cannot be assumed here. "Living Stereo" also carries its own resonances as a phrase, having historical connections to high-fidelity audio culture, though what Mad Tribe draws from that reference, if anything, remains a matter for the listener to consider.

Beyond these observable details, the verified record for this release is limited. Track durations are not confirmed in the available data, and personnel, pressing specifications, and distribution scope fall outside what can be responsibly stated at this time. What the catalog entry does confirm is a straightforward, format-conscious release from 2019 that positions itself squarely within the electronic and psy-trance spaces through both its sonic genre designation and its chosen medium.
