Microtrauma
Vinyl Selection 2

Listening notes

Microtrauma's Vinyl Selection 2 arrived in 2012 on Traum Schallplatten, the Cologne-based electronic music label, catalogued as TRAUM V158. The release sits within the electronic and tech house genres and presents four tracks spread across two sides of a standard vinyl format.

Side A opens with "Reflection" before moving into "Pollen Flug," while Side B carries "Solitone" and closes with "Gravity Well (Microtrauma Remix)." That final track is notable in that it identifies Microtrauma explicitly as the remixing party, suggesting the original version of "Gravity Well" exists elsewhere in the catalogue under a different credit, though the source of that original is not confirmed here.

The release is the second instalment in what the title implies is an ongoing or at least recurring vinyl selection series from the artist on the label, suggesting a prior volume exists. Traum Schallplatten has been a consistent presence in European electronic music, and Microtrauma appears as part of that roster in this 2012 offering.

Track durations are not available in the verified data for this release, which limits any structural observations about the sequencing or overall runtime of the record. Similarly, personnel details, pressing information, and production credits fall outside what can be confirmed here and are left for a fact checker to supplement if sourced documentation permits.

What the catalogue entry does establish is a clean, four-track programme under a single artist name, released on a label with a defined identity within the tech house and electronic space. Collectors and researchers working with the Traum Schallplatten discography will find this record placed at TRAUM V158 in the label's numbering sequence, which may assist in contextualising it relative to surrounding releases in that catalogue.
