Mitzi
Vinyl Versions

Listening notes

Mitzi's Vinyl Versions, released in 2011 on Future Classic (catalog number FCL56), is a four-track vinyl release presenting two source tracks — "Morning Light" and "India" — each appearing in two remixed or edited forms across the record's two sides.

Side A opens with "Morning Light (The Revenge Remix)" followed by "India (The Joakim Remix)." Side B carries "Morning Light (Softwar Dub)" and closes with "India (LTJ Edit)." The structure gives the release a symmetry that is straightforward to describe: both original compositions are treated twice, with each interpretation occupying one slot per side.

The release sits across genres listed as Disco, Electronic, House, and Rock — a breadth that reflects the nature of remix records, where different remixers can pull source material in divergent directions. The Revenge, Joakim, Softwar, and LTJ are credited as the remix and editing contributors across the four tracks, though no additional personnel information is available from verified sources.

Future Classic, the label behind this release, carried catalog number FCL56 for this title, placing it within what appears to be an active catalog at the time of the 2011 release date. Beyond these cataloguing details, no additional label context can be confirmed here.

Vinyl Versions does what its title plainly states: it delivers vinyl-formatted versions of existing Mitzi material through outside hands. For collectors and researchers working through the Future Classic discography or tracking the output of the credited remixers, this record represents a documented point of reference. Durations for individual tracks are not available in verified sources and have been omitted accordingly.
