The release is categorized under Electronic, Stage & Screen, and Video Game Music genres, reflecting the broad stylistic range that characterizes the source material.
The set spans four sides across two records, with a total of twenty-five tracks drawn from the game's score. Side A opens with "A Place To Call Home" and moves through character themes and battle compositions, including "Vivi's Theme," "Swords Of Fury," the flamenco-inflected "Vamo' alla Flamenco," "Battle 1," "Fanfare," "Battle 2," and "Zidane's Theme." Side B continues with "Festival Of The Hunt," "Ukulele De Chocobo," "Freya's Theme," "Kuja's Theme," "Dark City Treno," "Gargan Roo," "Eternal Harvest," and "Roses Of May."
Side C carries the selection further with "Eiko's Theme," "Mount Gulug," "Aboard The Hilda Garde," "Pandemonium," "Not Alone," and "Memoria." The final side, D, closes the program with three tracks: "The Darkness Of Eternity," "The Final Battle," and "Melodies Of Life ~Final Fantasy," the latter serving as the game's principal vocal theme.
