Nobuo Uematsu
Final Fantasy VII Remake And Final Fantasy VII Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2020 under the Square Enix Music label, *Final Fantasy VII Remake And Final Fantasy VII* (catalog number SQEX-10719~20) is a double-album vinyl release credited to Nobuo Uematsu. The set is organized across four sides, with Sides A and B devoted to selections from *Final Fantasy VII Remake* and Sides C and D presenting corresponding tracks from the original *Final Fantasy VII*.

The pairing is the defining structural choice of this release. Several compositions appear on both halves of the record, making the sequencing itself a point of comparison. "The Prelude," "Tifa's Theme," "Let the Battles Begin!," "Flowers Blooming in the Church," "Turks' Theme," and "Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII" are each represented in both the Remake and original versions, occupying equivalent or near-equivalent positions on their respective sides. Titles exclusive to the Remake half include "Hurry!" and "Scorpion Sentinel," while the original *Final Fantasy VII* sides add "Opening - Bombing Mission," "Shinra, Inc.," "Who…Are You?," "Fight On!," "Fanfare," and "The Chase."

The release spans genres listed as Ambient, Electronic, Soundtrack, Stage and Screen, and Video Game Music. Track durations are not documented in the available information for this release.

The tracklist is presented with original Japanese titles alongside English translations, reflecting the compositions' origins. The catalog number SQEX-10719~20 indicates a two-disc configuration within Square Enix Music's own imprint.

This is an unreviewed draft. Personnel, pressing details, edition information, and track durations require verification before publication.
