Nobuo Uematsu
Final Fantasy VII Remake And Final Fantasy VII Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2020 on the Square Enix label under catalog number 19075972581, this double-LP brings together music from two distinct sources: the original Final Fantasy VII and its 2020 remake. The release is credited to Nobuo Uematsu and spans four sides of vinyl, with the first two sides devoted to the remake's score and the final two sides to selections from the original game.

The tracklist is organized to make that division explicit. Sides A and B present eight tracks drawn from the Final Fantasy VII Remake, including "The Prelude," "Tifa's Theme," "Let The Battles Begin!," "Flowers Blooming In The Church," "Turks' Theme," "Hurry!," "Scorpion Sentinel," and the "Main Theme Of Final Fantasy VII." Sides C and D then return to the 1997 original, presenting twelve tracks that include several titles also found on the remake sides — "The Prelude," "Tifa's Theme," "Let The Battles Begin!," "Turks' Theme," "Flowers Blooming In The Church," and the "Main Theme Of Final Fantasy VII" — alongside pieces absent from the first half, among them "Opening - Bombing Mission," "Shinra, Inc.," "Who…Are You?," "Fight On!," "Fanfare," and "The Chase."

That structural choice gives the release an implicit comparative dimension. A listener moving from Side B to Side C encounters the same titles in different versions, which the format presents as a straightforward sequence rather than an editorial statement. The genres listed — Ambient, Electronic, Soundtrack, Stage and Screen, and Video Game Music — reflect the breadth of material across both halves.

No durations are listed in the available data, and no additional personnel or pressing details have been confirmed for this draft.
