Norm Talley
The Seneca Street Project

Listening notes

Norm Talley's The Seneca Street Project arrived in 2018 on Out The Box, a label for which this release carries the catalog number OTB 001, marking it as the label's inaugural entry. The record is a four-track vinyl release operating within the deep house and electronic house genres.

The tracklist is divided evenly across two sides. The A-side opens with "In The Mind" and continues with "Loose Spirits." The B-side presents "The Flip" followed by "The Shoe." Track durations are not confirmed in the available documentation and are omitted here accordingly.

Talley is a Detroit-based artist, and the project's title — referencing Seneca Street — connects nominally to that geography, though the nature of that connection is not elaborated in the verified facts available for this entry and should not be assumed beyond the title itself.

As catalog number OTB 001, The Seneca Street Project represents the founding release for the Out The Box imprint, a distinction that places it at the beginning of that label's documented output. Whether the label is an artist-run venture or operated independently of Talley is not confirmed here and is left for fact-checking.

The release is documented as a vinyl format, consistent with the deep house genre's continued engagement with the twelve-inch single and LP tradition. Beyond format and genre classification, specifics regarding pressing origin, matrix information, or edition details are not present in the verified data and have been excluded from this draft.

This entry should be reviewed against primary sources before publication. Personnel credits, recording location, and any additional edition or repress information are absent from the current fact set and would strengthen the entry if confirmed.
