Listening notes

This release on the Psych.KG label, catalogued as Psych.KG 149/Test, brings together an unusually assembled credit block: The Nu Metal Fighters, Wolfgang Kindermann, and a special appearance by Jonathan Meese. The title itself — "Vinyl-Artefakt, Rund, Flach, Mittig Gelocht, Hörenswert," which translates roughly from German as "Vinyl Artifact, Round, Flat, Center-Holed, Worth Hearing" — announces its own self-aware relationship to the format it occupies. No release year is confirmed in the available documentation.

The record is categorized across an eclectic range of genres: Abstract, Electronic, Non-Music, Poetry, and Spoken Word. That combination, alongside the involvement of Meese, a German artist known for provocative conceptual work, suggests an intentional blurring of conventional categories, though the specifics of each contributor's role are not documented here and cannot be stated with confidence.

The tracklist divides across two sides in an asymmetrical way. Side A contains two tracks: "Die 7 Spärlichsten Der Diktatur Der Kunst" and "Zone (Redroned)." Side B carries five tracks — "Coming Undone," "Freak On A Leash," "Got The Life," "Falling Away From Me," and "Twisted Transistor." Readers familiar with nu metal will recognize the B-side titles as songs associated with the band Korn. Whether these are versions, reinterpretations, found material, or something else entirely is not established by the available facts and should not be assumed.

No durations are listed for any track. The catalog suffix "/Test" may indicate a test pressing designation, though this has not been confirmed and warrants further verification before publication.
