Nurse With Wound
Terms And Conditions Apply / Huffin' Rag Blues Vinyl Mix

Listening notes

Nurse With Wound's *Terms And Conditions Apply / Huffin' Rag Blues Vinyl Mix* was released in 2014 on United Dirter under catalog number DPROMDCD105. The release takes the form of a two-CD package and draws on a range of genre designations that reflect the long-standing difficulty of placing Nurse With Wound within any single tradition: abstract, avant-garde, electronic, experimental, krautrock, lounge, musique concrète, and rock are all attached to this release.

The tracklist is substantial and internally organized into distinct sections. The first disc opens with material grouped under the heading "The Bacteria Magnet," comprising tracks including two versions of "Cruisin' For A Bruisin'" — a "Bacteria Bitch Mix" running 7:55 and a "Black Bomber Mix" at 4:40 — alongside two treatments of "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön," the second subtitled "Mää Mää" and extending to 9:11. A section labeled "Rushkoff Coercion" follows, and a third grouping, "Erroneous, A Selection Of Errors," brings the first disc to a close with longer pieces: "Tickety Boo" at 16:31, "Driftin' By" at 14:43, and "Opium Cabaret" at 15:16.

The second disc is given over entirely to the "Huffin' Rag Blues Vinyl Mix," an eleven-track sequence that ranges from the brief "Willy The Weeper" at 0:50 to "The Funktion Of The Hairy Egg" at 13:16. Track titles here — "Juice Head Crazy Lady," "Ketamineaphonia," "Wash The Dust From My Heart" — continue the idiosyncratic naming conventions evident throughout the release. The section also includes its own version of "Cruisin' For A Bruisin'" at 6:15 and closes with "All Of Me" at 1:44.

The presence of multiple mixes and alternate versions across both discs suggests a release structured around variation and recontextualization, though the nature and origin of those variations are not documented in the available data.
