Panda Dub
VINYLITBG01

Listening notes

Panda Dub is a project working within the dub and electronic genres, and in 2015 released a self-pressed vinyl under the catalog number VINYLITBG01. The release carries no affiliated label, listed simply as Not On Label, a designation that indicates an independent, self-managed release issued outside of any formal record company structure.

The record is a four-track vinyl spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Sandiala," followed by "Smile Is The Ke(y)." Side B carries "No Rules In Underground" and closes with "Time." Track durations are not documented for any of the four selections. The catalog number, VINYLITBG01, also serves as the release title, a choice that foregrounds the physical format and the self-released nature of the project rather than a conventional album name.

The Not On Label designation is a practical reality for many artists operating independently, allowing a release to be catalogued and distributed — including through collector databases — without the administrative and financial infrastructure of a record label. For dub and electronic artists in particular, self-releasing on vinyl has remained a viable path, consistent with the broader culture of small-run and independent pressings within those genres.

What can be said with confidence about VINYLITBG01 is limited to what the documented facts support: it is a 2015 vinyl release by Panda Dub, self-issued, containing four tracks across two sides, catalogued under genres of dub and electronic. Collectors and researchers working from primary sources would need to consult the physical release itself for further detail, including track durations, pressing information, and any additional credits.
