Presence Featuring Shara Nelson
Sense Of Danger (Part.1 Of A 2 Vinyl Set)

Listening notes

Released in 1998 on Pagan Records, "Sense Of Danger" by Presence featuring Shara Nelson arrived as the first of a two-vinyl set, catalogued as PAGAN.024. The release positions itself across the genres of deep house, electronic, and house music, reflecting the broad stylistic territory those categories encompassed during that period.

The first vinyl carries three versions of the title track across its two sides. The A-side presents the Original Presence Mix as the lead version. The B-side divides between two further interpretations: the Pepe Bradock Remix and the Furry Phreaks Dub. The structure of the release — one anchor mix paired with two remixes — follows a format common to dance twelve-inches of the era, allowing DJs and collectors to approach the same material from different angles within a single purchase.

Shara Nelson is credited as a featured artist on the release. Pagan Records is identified here as the sixth entity operating under that name in available discographic records, a distinction worth noting for collectors navigating the label's history.

As a two-part vinyl set, this release is designed to be understood alongside its companion disc. What is documented here covers only the first installment, and the full picture of the release as its creators intended it would require both parts together.
