Prophet, The
The Vinyl Collection 01

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on Scantraxx, The Vinyl Collection 01 (catalog number SCVC001) is a four-track vinyl release from The Prophet. The record sits within the electronic and hardstyle genres and represents the first installment in what the catalog number suggests is an intended series from the label.

The tracklist is spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Listen To Your Heart," running five minutes and three seconds, followed by "Stampuhh!! (The Prophet's Stamp Remix)" at five minutes and twelve seconds, making Side A the longer of the two at just over ten minutes combined. Side B carries "Caramba!" at three minutes and fifty-six seconds and closes with "It's My Beat" at four minutes and three seconds.

The release comes from Scantraxx, a label with a history in the hardstyle space, and the SCVC001 catalog number positions this record as the launch of a dedicated vinyl collection line from that imprint. The inclusion of a remix — The Prophet's own stamp remix of "Stampuhh!!" — alongside what appear to be original or previously released productions gives the record a varied character within its runtime of just under eighteen and a half minutes across both sides.

For collectors and enthusiasts of hardstyle on vinyl, the record's catalog number alone signals its significance as the inaugural entry in the Scantraxx vinyl collection series. Whether the series continued beyond this release is a detail a fact checker should verify independently.
