Reeko & Surgeon
Scoundrel

Listening notes

Reeko and Surgeon are two figures whose individual work sits within the broader landscape of electronic music. The Spanish producer Reeko operates his Mental Disorder label, which carries the catalog number MD.26 for this release. Surgeon is a British artist with a long-standing association with techno and related forms. Scoundrel, released in 2023 on Mental Disorder, represents a documented collaboration between the two.

The release is a vinyl record cataloged under MD.26. It carries genre associations of breaks, electronic, and techno, which are the descriptors attached to this record. The format is a two-sided pressing. Side one contains a single track, the title cut Scoundrel, listed at position A1. Side two holds two tracks: Gangster In Disguise at B1 and Lemurian Blues at B2. No track durations are documented in the available information.

The titles themselves carry a certain character. Scoundrel and Gangster In Disguise share a loose thematic register, while Lemurian Blues introduces a more oblique reference, though nothing in the available record speaks to intent or meaning behind these choices.

Mental Disorder is Reeko's label, and MD.26 places this release as the twenty-sixth entry in that catalog, indicating an ongoing body of output from the imprint. Beyond that context, the available facts do not speak to pressing details, edition size, or distribution.

This is a draft for fact-checking purposes. No claims about sound, reception, recording circumstances, personnel beyond the two named artists, or collector interest have been made, as those details are not present in the source material.
