KMS 25th Anniversary Classics - Vinyl Sampler 6

Listening notes

Released in 2012, KMS 25th Anniversary Classics - Vinyl Sampler 6 (catalog number KMSCLASSICSSMPLR06) is one installment in KMS Records' series marking the label's twenty-fifth anniversary. The release brings together material from four artists — Reese, Intercity, Symbols & Instruments, and Marc Kinchen — across two sides of vinyl, situating itself within the electronic, house, and techno genres.

The A-side opens with "Just Want Another Chance (John Tejada Remix)," a reworking credited to Reese, followed by Intercity's "Groovin Without A Doubt." The B-side carries Symbols & Instruments' "Mood (Optimistic Mix)" and closes with Marc Kinchen's "Somebody New." No duration information is available for any of the four tracks.

As a sampler, the record functions as a curated cross-section of the anniversary series rather than a standalone artist album. KMS Records, founded in Detroit, is associated with the development of techno and house music, and the 25th anniversary context places this release as part of a deliberate retrospective effort by the label. The inclusion of a John Tejada remix alongside original material from multiple artists reflects the compilation format common to sampler releases of this kind.

This is an unreviewed draft. Details including personnel, recording history, pressing specifications, and any broader reception or significance of this release have not been verified and are not represented here. A fact checker should confirm artist attributions, confirm whether additional sampler volumes exist in the series, and verify any label history claims before publication.
