Listening notes

Penetration is a double vinyl album by Regis, released in 2021 on Downwards under catalog number LIN030. The record spans four sides and nine tracks, placing it within the genres of electronic, industrial, and techno.

The tracklist opens on the A-side with "Get On Your Knees" at five minutes and three seconds, followed by "Slave to the Inevitable," the shortest piece on the album at two minutes and fifty-seven seconds. The A-side closes with "Her Surrender," the longest track on that half of the record at six minutes and seventeen seconds. The B-side carries two tracks: "It's a Man's World" at five minutes and fourteen seconds, and "Thirst," which returns to the five-minute-and-three-second runtime shared with the opening track.

The C-side is occupied by a two-part composition. "White Stains" runs five minutes and fifty-two seconds, and "White Stains Part 2" extends to six minutes and ten seconds, making the C-side the longest of the four. The D-side closes the album with the title track, "Penetration," at five minutes and one second, and "Aftertaste of Guilt," which concludes proceedings at five minutes and six seconds.

Across its nine tracks, the album accumulates a total runtime of approximately forty-seven minutes. The track titles, taken together, suggest a deliberate thematic orientation, though the nature and intent of that theme are not elaborated upon in available documentation. The record is housed on the Downwards label, which is associated with Regis as an artist project. Beyond these structural details, further claims about the record's context, personnel, or reception are not supported by the verified information available for this entry and have been omitted accordingly.
