Reverorum Ib Malacht
Urkaos

Listening notes

Reverorum Ib Malacht's Urkaos was released in 2018 on The Ajna Offensive under catalog number FLAME65. The record spans genres listed as ambient, avantgarde, black metal, electronic, and rock, a combination that positions the Swedish act outside any single stylistic category.

The album is pressed across four sides. Side A opens with "Credamus" at two minutes and thirty-eight seconds before moving into "In Blando Xpi Sibilo," which runs nearly ten minutes, and "Ecclesia's Call" at five minutes and forty-six seconds. Side B begins with another track titled "Ecclesia's Call," this time running five minutes and fifty-five seconds — a repeated title with a slightly different duration than its Side A counterpart. "Sermon Below The Mount" follows at seven minutes and thirty-six seconds, and "Omen" closes the side at five minutes and twenty-three seconds.

Side C opens with "The Lord Is..." at five minutes and thirty-nine seconds, then returns to the same title for a second appearance at eight minutes and forty-five seconds, continuing the pattern of repeated track titles across the sequence. The title track "Urkaos" closes Side C at eight minutes and six seconds. Side D is notable for its structure: it opens with a track listed as "(no audio)" running fourteen seconds, followed by an untitled track at eighteen minutes and forty seconds, the longest piece on the record.

The total runtime across the four sides is substantial, and the tracklist's structural choices — repeated titles, a silent or near-silent entry, and an extended unlabeled closing piece — are facts of the record's construction rather than interpretive gestures, and are documented here as such. The release is cataloged as a vinyl format. Further personnel and pressing details have not been confirmed for this draft.
