Rick Wade
Vinyl Refresher

Listening notes

Rick Wade's "Vinyl Refresher" was released in 2007 on Harmonie Park, a Detroit-based label, under catalog number hp011. The release arrived as a four-track vinyl record spanning two sides, placing it within the deep house and electronic genres.

The tracklist consists of "Whistle Bump Track" and "Bang Baby" on the A-side, with "Jazz Torrent" and "Detroit Calling" occupying the B-side. The titles themselves gesture toward a range of reference points — the word "Jazz" in the third track and "Detroit" in the fourth connect nominally to two touchstones frequently associated with the broader lineage of American house and electronic music, though what those connections amount to sonically is not something the available documentation speaks to.

Harmonie Park, as a label operating out of Detroit, situates the release within a city that carries substantial historical weight in electronic music. Wade himself is a Detroit-based producer, and this release represents one entry in his catalog under that imprint. Beyond those facts, the record stands as a standard 12-inch or LP-format vinyl release typical of independent house labels working during that period, though the precise format configuration is not confirmed in the available data.

Track durations are not documented in the source material for this entry, which limits how much can be said about the overall running time or the structural approach of individual cuts.

This draft covers only what the source data confirms. A fact checker should verify the precise vinyl format, any additional personnel or production credits, label history, and whether track durations or matrix information are available from physical copies or supplementary documentation before this entry is finalized.
