Rosenstolz
Blaue Flecken (Vinyl 2)

Listening notes

Rosenstolz's "Blaue Flecken (Vinyl 2)" was released on Island Records in 2009 under catalog number 06025-1799505. The release is designated as the second vinyl in what the catalog numbering implies is a multi-part series tied to the "Blaue Flecken" single, and it presents the track exclusively in remixed form across its three positions.

The genres listed for this release — Electro, Electronic, and House — situate it within dance and club-oriented territory, a framing that aligns with the remix format itself, which typically targets DJ play and dancefloor contexts rather than home listening. The A-side carries the Anja Schneider Remix at six minutes and twelve seconds, the longest of the three versions here. Schneider is a Berlin-based DJ and producer with an established presence in the electronic music scene, though no specific context for her involvement with Rosenstolz is available in the verified record for this release.

The B-side is split between two additional reworks. The ThreethirtyYeah Remix occupies position B1 at five minutes and forty-six seconds, followed by the Marcus Layton Remix at B2, running five minutes and thirty-four seconds. Both remixers appear without further documentation in the available facts.

What the release does confirm clearly is its scope: three discrete interpretations of a single source track, spread across two sides of a vinyl twelve-inch, with runtimes consistent with extended dance edits. Rosenstolz, a German duo, released this through Island Records, a major label imprint, suggesting the single had sufficient commercial backing to support a multi-volume vinyl remix campaign.
