Schatrax
Vintage Vinyl 002

Listening notes

Schatrax's Vintage Vinyl 002, released in 2019 on the artist's own Schatrax label, carries the catalog number SCHATVV 02 and follows the series format established by its predecessor. The release arrives on vinyl and spans three tracks across two sides, situating itself within a range of electronic styles that includes deep house, house, techno, and minimal techno.

Side A is occupied solely by "Restless Nights," a configuration that gives the track the full run of its side. Side B carries two pieces: "Turntribal" and "The Almighty," sequenced at B1 and B2 respectively. No duration information is available for any of the three tracks.

The release is self-titled to the artist and issued through their own imprint, a detail that places Vintage Vinyl 002 within a tradition of artist-run labels common across independent electronic music. The catalog numbering, SCHATVV 02, indicates this is the second entry in the Vintage Vinyl subseries under the Schatrax umbrella.

The genre tags associated with this release span a fairly broad sweep of floor-oriented electronic music, from the warmer textures implied by deep house to the more stripped-back territory of minimal techno. Whether those distinctions apply differently to individual tracks or to the release as a whole is not something the available information can resolve.
