Schatrax
Vintage Vinyl 006

Listening notes

Schatrax's Vintage Vinyl 006, released in 2016 on the artist's own Schatrax label, carries the catalog number SCHATVV06 and arrives as the sixth entry in what the series title itself frames as a retrospective or archival enterprise. The record is a vinyl release operating within the electronic and house genres, and its three tracks are spread across both sides of the record in an asymmetrical arrangement.

The A-side holds a single track, "Restless Dub," while the B-side carries two: "Mists Of Time" and "Aliena's Journey." That the A-side is given entirely to one piece, with the B-side shared between two, is a structural choice worth noting for collectors cataloguing the release, though no running times are documented here to further characterize how that space is distributed.

The self-titled label is a notable point of context. Operating under one's own imprint gives an artist direct control over release decisions, and the Vintage Vinyl series designation — of which this is the sixth installment — suggests an ongoing, self-curated output rather than a one-off project. Whether that series represents reissued or newly recorded material is not something the available documentation clarifies, and no claims are made here on that front.

Track titles like "Mists Of Time" and "Aliena's Journey" carry an atmospheric or narrative suggestion in their naming, and "Restless Dub" places itself broadly within dub-influenced electronic territory by title alone, though the precise sonic character of any of these tracks falls outside what can be responsibly described from the facts on hand.

As a vinyl release in the house and electronic space from 2016, Vintage Vinyl 006 fits within a period of sustained collector and producer interest in the twelve-inch format. Beyond what the label, catalog number, year, format, and tracklist establish, this entry should be treated as a starting point pending further verified detail.
