Screen Vinyl Image
Remixes

Listening notes

Screen Vinyl Image's Remixes was released in 2010 on Custom Made Music (catalog number WOOO-0021), presenting six reworkings of the band's material across two sides of vinyl. The record draws from source tracks including "Chaser," "Until The End Of Time," "Cathode Ray," "What You Need," and "Passing Through Mirrors," with contributors approaching each from different angles.

The A-side opens with Hypefactor's "Blood On Your Hands" remix of "Chaser," followed by Remarkably Spry's "Doomsday" remix of "Until The End Of Time." The third track on the side is a self-remix: Screen Vinyl Image's own "Drone" remix of "Cathode Ray." The B-side similarly moves between outside contributors and the band itself. TeenageSinTaste remixes "What You Need" in the opening slot, followed by I.H.M.C.'s "Star Night" remix of "Until The End Of Time" — the second treatment that track receives across the full record. The side closes with Screen Vinyl Image's "Orphee" mix of "Passing Through Mirrors."

The genres associated with the release — Electronic, Noise, Psychedelic Rock, Rock, and Shoegaze — suggest a range of reference points in the band's broader work, though how individual remixers engaged with those elements is not documented here. The presence of two separate remixes of "Until The End Of Time" is a structural choice worth noting for collectors cataloging the release, as is the band's direct participation as remixers of their own material on two of the six tracks.
