Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack: Essential Edition

Listening notes

Released in 2017 on the iam8bit label (catalog number 8BIT-8069), the Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack: Essential Edition is a box set comprising four records spanning eight sides and a total of 62 tracks. The music is credited to Shoji Meguro and the Atlus Sound Team, and the release is catalogued under the genres of Jazz, Jazz-Rock, Stage & Screen, and Video Game Music.

The scope of the set is considerable. Sides A and B open with several of the score's more prominent vocal compositions, including "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There," "Life Will Change," "Last Surprise," and "Rivers In The Desert," alongside mood pieces such as "Beneath The Mask" and its rain variant. Side C is given over entirely to instrumental versions of tracks drawn from the first two sides, offering alternate readings of five compositions without vocal performances.

Sides D through H shift toward the broader body of the score, collecting ambient, dramatic, and situational cues alongside pieces with titles suggesting specific in-game contexts — "Interrogation Room," "Crane Game," "Home Electronics Store," "Welcome Home, Master!," and "Legend Of Gambla Goemon" among them. The final sides include battle-adjacent titles such as "Tension," "Will Power," "High Pressure," and "Keeper Of Lust," as well as closing pieces "New Beginning" and "Life Goes On."

No track durations are documented in the available data. Fact checker should verify spelling of "Blooming Villan" and "Blood Of Villan" against authoritative sources, as these may reflect intentional stylization or possible transcription errors.
